The superiority of Suraht Falaq & Nas

Share:

how many times do we just go to the doctor and take our medication without remembering Allah is Ash-Sha'afi (the Healer) and follow one of the prescribed cures from the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

What’s the first thing YOU do when you feel ill? Grab a pill?

Well, there is something better! Revive the sunnah by reciting Surah Falaq and Surah Naas and blowing it on the hands and rubbing them on your body as far as you can reach. Encourage others to do this, teach your children, and do it for others when they’re ill. It was also a part of daily bed time routine of our beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

Narrated 'Aisha (رضي الله عنها) Whenever the Prophet صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ went to bed every night, he used to cup his hands together and blow over it after reciting Surat Al-Ikhlas, Surat Al-Falaq and Surat An-Nas, and then rub his hands over whatever parts of his body he was able to rub, starting with his head, face and front of his body. He used to do that three times.

Ref: Sahih al-Bukhari 5017
In-book ref: Book 66, Hadith 39
Eng Vol. 6, Book 61, Hadith 536

° Recite 3 times each
 {‏قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ‏}
 {‏قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ‏}‏
 {‏قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ‏}
